January 14: Marsha Morgenstern, Educator and Freelance Writer

I was initially introduced to Marsha through a mutual friend, Carrie Nardini (of the I Made It! Market). Marsha had heard about bel monili flowers being in the giveaway bags at the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards and approached me about writing an article. I was so honored to have such a fantastic writer interested in my work; Marsha's resume of publications was impressive at the very least. She took the time to learn about me, get all of the details about me and my business, and find out what I felt were the most important features of bel monili. Marsha wrote a beautiful story that was featured in the Almanac, and I am honored to be able to call her a friend.
The Morgenstern Family
A freelance writer and online educator, Marsha moved to Pittsburgh in 2006 after living in Florida all her life. Her husband, Eric, was also a native Floridian. She says they enjoy the changing seasons, friendly community, and arts and culture the city has to offer. “I really love living here and take advantage of every opportunity I can get to help promote the area,” she says.
Today, Marsha also teaches Business Communication and Composition courses online for the University of Phoenix. She is excited about the future of online education and enjoys sharing her experience and knowledge with students. “It’s great to be able to work anywhere an internet connection is available…Having a flexible schedule has allowed me to spend quality time with my 18 month-old son since his birth,” she says.

Marsha is always interested in story ideas and networking! She can be reached at 412-212-8511 or marsha.morgenstern@gmail.com. An online portfolio of her articles can be found online at http://mmorgenstern.blogspot.com/.
