31 Days, 31 Questions About Weddings...Help Me Please! Day 11: Honoring Loved Ones

Day 11 Question:

Can you please share some creative ideas for how we can honor our loved ones (relatives and friends) who have passed with something special at our wedding?

I have seen some ideas that I like...one of them is to have a teeny framed photo hanging from my bouquet, which I think is lovely.
I'd like to have something that is visible to our guests without making it a focal point for the evening...maybe something creative with photos that's not the traditional 'framed picture and a rose' deal. Any ideas?

  1. Is there any way you can incorporate your loved ones in your centerpieces? Or maybe a tree off to the side with pictures and trinkets of them hanging.

  2. A Jujubelle person could make the charms for you ... Or you could have framed pics on you gift table.

  3. Several ideas.........
You could use something like an earring tree with small photos and place it on the gift table or even the bride's table. I had something small from each one with me when I married the second time, a necklace, or earrings. Even had a pair of cufflinks that Hubs wore. So they were there with us as we walked down the aisle.

  4. I had candles sat around the barn with their name on them and we lit them during the reception

  5. At my daughters wedding we did the candles on the side altars in the church. I have also seen a simple vase of flowers to honor those who have gone before us.
